Yawn's Books & More is offering a variety of great events in February and March.

Thursday, February 2  - Noon

That Girl’s Bible Studies: This event is held weekly through March 29 (Thursdays) from noon to 1:30 p.m. with Polly Balint. Devotional taken from her books, Totally Devoted I and Totally Devoted II.

Friday, February 3 - 5-7 p.m.

Ladies Night Out: Chocolates and other goodies served by The Soul Food Market, and music by Lori Kennedy. Authors Polly Balint with her books Totally Devoted I and Totally Devoted II, and Dawn Glaser with her book He Stilled the Storm Within Me.  They will be talking about their books and signing copies.

Saturday, February 4 - 2-4 p.m.

RESCHEDULED Due to Weather—Chef Sonya Jones:  Chef Sonya will share her new book Sweet Auburn Desserts: Atlanta’s Little Bakery That Could. Be ready for goodies made from recipes out of the book that she will be bringing to sharing!

Thursday, February 9 - 7 p.m.

The Unchained Tour: This event will be held at The Cherokee Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased at Yawn’s Bookstore for $15 and $12 for students. The Tour will be featuring Storytellers and musicians. Please go towww.theunchainedtour.org

Saturday, February 11 - 1-3 p.m.

Valentine’s Chocolate Walk: Starting at the theater and going around town to get a different chocolate treat at each merchant.  Purchase your $10 ticket at Yawn’s Bookstore or Chamberhouse. Only 250 tickets will be sold for this event, so act fast!

Thursday, February 23 - 6-7 p.m.

Book Club: Join Yawn’s Book Club, meeting the fourth Thursday of every month. This month we’ll be discussing Ghost on Black Mountain by Ann Hite. Ann will be here at 5:30 p.m. to discuss her book.  Book club members that have already read it give it two thumbs up. 

Saturday, March 3 - 1 p.m.

Author Event: Cathy Kaemmerlen, an award-winning actress and storyteller, will be featuring her new children’s book, The Buzz on Honeybees. Children of all ages will love the book, and Cathy reading and discussing The Buzz on Honeybees. 

Monday, March 26 - 5:30 p.m.

Author Event: Authors Lisa Wingate and Denise Hildreth will be participating in a joint author event at Yawn’s Bookstore.  They are both New York Times best-selling authors. 

Denise Hildreth is a novelist and International speaker. She lives in Tennessee, and is a speaker for The Billy Graham Association. Her current book is  Flying Solo: A Journey of Divorce and A Very Present God.  Previously she has written fiction.  Her most recent fiction book  is Hurricanes in Paradise.

Lisa Wingate lives in Texas, where she is a popular writer and inspirational speaker.  Her current book is Dandelion Summer.  This promises to be a really great event, so don’t miss this rare opportunity.
