The community is invited to an indoor yard sale at the Falany Performing Arts Center in Waleska, Ga., on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Hundreds of items including furniture, clothing, jewelry, shoes, books, records, linens, domestic goods and decorative items will be sold at “ridiculously low prices.”  The event is sponsored by the Reinhardt University Collegiate Chapter of Music Teachers National Association.

“We want to sell everything,” said Brianna Hendrickson, co-president of the organization.  “If you see something you want and the price is too high, make an offer.” Items have been donated by students and community members.  If you would like to donate something for the sale, please contact Susan Naylor at 770-720-5560.

The yard sale proceeds will help music students to attend the Georgia Music Teachers Association State Conference in November.  The funds will also help with service projects and concert attendance throughout the year. 

The Reinhardt chapter is very active on campus and in the community. Their 2011 plans include presenting an annual comedy recital, fillling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, performing at and visiting nursing homes, sponsoring a year-end cookout for music majors and music faculty, and attending off-campus concerts and music events.
